Just Announced: LJ + Calpurnia Show

Just Announced: LJ + Calpurnia Show

We're so stoked to finally have Little Junior's debut album, "Hi", out in the world.

Hi was released on May 11, 2018.

Whether resenting someone's unprecedented success, such as in the scathing single, "Accolades," swooning over your significant other's quirky imperfections with "Crooked Tooth," or dancing along to Carly Rae Jepsen, "Hi" is the bratty punk record we can all relate to.

The Buzz on LJ

"Hi is something like a musical period piece, capturing a time when Lit was a band, not an adjective, and Razor scooters were all it took to be cool. Tracks like "Cry Baby" and "20 Something" are perfect little pop punk numbers, equally good for moshing or crossing your arms and pouting to. Vocalist Rane Elliott-Armstrong does an impeccable job bringing a sort of snot-nosed attitude to these tunes, with a voice that practically screams 'boo-hoo.'" - Exclaim!

"Throughout their debut album, Little Junior establish themselves as potent indie rock voices. Their carefully crafted sounds combined with acerbic wit make Hi an enjoyable and relevant listen." - Spill Magazine

The power-pop foursome also released a disgustingly wonderful video for "Crooked Tooth" on the day of their album release. You can see them perform it live with Calpurnia at Irving Plaza in New York on July 14th. Grab a ticket for yourself and a pal here.

Dizzy just released "Joshua," a song about a Gemini who broke her heart. An audience favourite, "Joshua" is Dizzy's most cathartic and vulnerable single yet.

Dizzy also released a video for "Pretty Thing," shot by Mac Boucher, which premiered via Apple Music. Of the video, vocalist Katie Munshaw says,

"We shot the video with Mac Boucher in Los Angeles. It was our first time in the city, so the video is a magical, innocent, first four minute dance with L.A."

The Buzz on Dizzy

"The Ontario dream-pop four-piece makes music to listen to while lying on your bed, arms dangling off the sides, eyes glued to the ceiling." - Stereogum

"It glides along dreamy riffs and has a sense of endless adventure about it, encapsulating that delightful feeling of being young, free, getting your heart broken for the first time and having friends that help to lead you through the pain of it all." - The Line of Best Fit

"One intoxicating single after another, building to the release of a full length debut." - Indie 88
